Dear community,
Over the past few years, The Flying Sage has grown in ways we never imagined. What started as a small gathering of like-hearted seekers has blossomed into a thriving ecosystem of events, facilitators, members and magic.
We’ve hosted hundreds of gatherings, supported thousands of journeys, and witnessed profound transformation—in Vancouver and beyond.
But as we grow, we’re also being called to pause, reflect, and evolve.
We’re currently in the midst of a strategic planning process to clarify what The Flying Sage is becoming—and how we can bring even more clarity, consistency, and impact to our offerings.
Our goal is simple: to build a sustainable, soulful organization that serves you and stays true to our roots. That’s why we are seeking your feedback…
Why We’re Doing This
Like many living organisms, a community needs pruning to grow stronger. Right now, we’re exploring some important questions:
Should we simplify our offerings to focus on what we do best—like breathwork and embodiment practices?
Should we shift our public identity to be more embodiment and somatic-focused, while still holding sacred space for medicine work?
What would it look like to have our own physical space?
How can we scale what we’ve built here in Vancouver to other cities without losing the soul of our work?
What membership or pricing model truly serves our diverse and ever-evolving community and our facilitators?
We don’t have all the answers yet. And honestly, we don’t want to make these decisions in a vacuum.
We’re Building This With You
This community has always been co-created.
Before we make any big changes, we want to hear from you. Whether you’re a longtime member, a new audience member, or a facilitator who holds space with us—we want your insight, your intuition and your voice to guide us.
The responses you share will directly influence how we evolve The Flying Sage in the months ahead.
What We’re Exploring
Here’s a preview of some of the potential pivots we’re considering:
Focusing our energy on a smaller number of high-impact modalities: breathwork, sound, movement.
Creating a physical space —a home for classes, community, and connection.
Evolving our membership and pricing model to better reflect your needs and support our facilitator and staff team.
Expanding into other cities with a strong backbone of local facilitators.
Positioning ourselves more publicly as a somatic/wellness collective with psychedelic healing woven into the culture (but not the brand).
Your feedback will help us validate (or challenge) these ideas.
Take the Feedback Survey
We’ve put together a short, thoughtful form that’s different depending on your relationship with us—member, audience, or facilitator. It should take about 6–10 minutes to complete.
Thank you for walking this path with us—and for helping shape where it goes next.
With gratitude,
Michael, Kelsey & The Flying Sage Team 🌱

I am really excited to announce that I am hosting a psilocybin retreat in Mexico with my partner Gabrielle and our friend and colleague Jonah in February of next year.
